Whether you’re an experienced creative or just starting out, Latinx Theatre Project offers a collaborative space to grow and create.

The Latinx Theatre Project (LXTP) is more than a performance group—it’s a multidisciplinary arts collective dedicated to storytelling, community building and representation. Based in Northwest Arkansas, the group collaborates across theater, music, film and spoken word to uplift underrepresented voices, particularly within the region’s Latinx community.
Founded in 2017 by a group of local teenagers seeking to create theater that reflected their lived experiences, LXTP has since grown into a powerful creative force. Supported by partners like TheatreSquared, the Walton Family Foundation, the Creative Exchange Fund and community donors, the organization continues to make space for inclusive expression and transformative performance.

LXTP thrives on collaboration. Writers, actors, musicians, filmmakers and producers come together to tell original stories and explore shared experiences. The collective welcomes artists of all disciplines and backgrounds and provides opportunities to grow both individually and as part of a team.

Working with LTxTP means joining a community that values authenticity, experimentation and mutual learning. Artists are encouraged to explore their identity, embrace their heritage and co-create work that reflects the diverse and evolving landscape of Northwest Arkansas.

LXTP regularly seeks creatives who are passionate about performance, storytelling and social change. The organization offers project-based opportunities as well as collaborative residencies and workshops.

Current and emerging needs include:

  • Writers and Playwrights – Individuals with a passion for narrative and scriptwriting who want to tell stories rooted in lived experience.
  • Actors and Performers – From stage acting to spoken word and physical theater, performers of all levels are invited to audition and participate in shows.
  • Musicians and Music Producers – LXTP regularly integrates original music into its performances and seeks vocalists, instrumentalists and beat makers.
  • Filmmakers and Multimedia Artists – The group is also expanding into video, short film and digital storytelling.

If you’re a creative professional—or someone just beginning your artistic journey—and you’re interested in collaborative, community-based work, Latinx Theatre Project may be the space for you.

The work at Latinx Theatre Project is deeply tied to place. It reflects the region’s diversity, speaks to the lived realities of its residents and offers opportunities for personal and cultural expression in a region where creative representation still has room to grow.

Team members say the most fulfilling part of their work is creating art that makes a difference—and doing it alongside others who share a passion for social impact.
